Where can we go that feels like home?

El Sol NEC has served the San Bernardino community for decades — connecting families to education, resources, and each other. The park grew from one persistent question asked by the people we serve: where can we go that feels like home?
The answer took years of listening — workshops, neighborhood conversations, and surveys — and the design reflects every one of those voices. Spaces for wellness and fitness. Gardens families can tend. A library within walking distance. A stage where culture can be performed and celebrated. All in one place, accessible to everyone.
Construction is now underway at 766 N. Waterman Ave. Every sponsorship, at any level, helps bring one more space to life for the people who already call this neighborhood home.

Phase 1 — Community roots
Listening and visioning
Hundreds of families across San Bernardino shaped the park's design through workshops, surveys, and neighborhood conversations.

Phase 2 — Design and planning
Architectural design finalized
The full campus plan was developed with architects and community stakeholders. Site secured at 766 N. Waterman Ave.

Phase 3 — Groundbreaking
Construction begins
Families, partners, elected officials, and supporters gathered as the first shovels broke ground. The community celebrated what they helped build.

Phase 4 — Active construction
Building the campus
Structural work is progressing on both buildings. Naming rights are still available for every space — sponsors who commit now will see their names go up as the campus takes shape.

Phase 5 — Interior and outdoor buildout
Spaces come to life
Gymnasium, wellness studio, library, gardens, amphitheater, and all named spaces are completed. Sponsor signage installed throughout.
